NEW YEAR MESSAGE 2017: GOOD AND PERFECT GIFT

( This Message was preached by REV. C. PETER CHANDRAN on 1st Jan’2017 Sunday Morning in a Full Gospel Church in Chennai from 9.15 to 10.00 a.m.)

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” ( James 1:17).

What we can receive is from above. What are the things which we receive from above: Jesus came from Heaven. Jesus the Son of God is the greatest gift from God. Divine wisdom comes from Heaven with seven characteristics.(John 3:27;John 3:16;Jas.3:17). We receive from Heaven Rain, prosperous seasons, bread and joy in heart. This is common grace. Acts 14:17. House, Riches and prudent wife – they are from God above. Prov.19:14.

Let me explain what gift is:

G = Gift of God

• Eternal life,Rom.6:23
• Living Water, Jn.4:10
• Eph.2:8,9 Salvation

I = Invite the Holy Spirit

• Acts 2:38 Gift of the Holy Spirit
• Lk.13:13 Father gives you the Holy Spirit

F = Fullness of Blessings

Gen.49:25,26 Joseph’s Blessings
It is heavenly blessings, earth blessings, deep blessings, family blessings (wife and children) and all spiritual blessings of Almighty God. Joseph lived a holy life.

T = Thank God

• Ps.103:1-5 forgiveness, healing, strength renewal, good words, long and young life.Thank God for these blessings.
• 2.Cor.9:15 Thanks be unto God or His unspeakable Gift.
• God bless America. God bless Israel. God bless the world.
