Introduction:

Loving Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I wish that you may prosper and be in Health. Today’s Message is from Matthew 7:7-12. Jesus said:" Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened"( Matt.7:7,8).

1. Asking is Prayer!:

Ask means to say that you would like somebody to do something for you. For example, an young boy asked for a new bike for his birthday. If you are having family with children, you need a good expensive car. King Solomon’s Prayer: In the Old Testament, King Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of his father David. At Gibeon, the LORD appeared to Solomon by night; and God said,

“Ask! and I will give you”. God is rich in grace. When He gives, He gives in plenty more than what you ask or think. Solomon prayed to God saying: “ LORD my God, ... give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil”. This prayer pleased the LORD. Wisdom is the principal thing. That is why, the word of God says: “ If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him”(James 1:5). Lack of wisdom is the reason for all lacks in your life. Those of you having financial problem, unemployment, lack of food and shelter, you need divine wisdom! Ask of God. He is a liberal and generous and loving giver. Within a minute, He can solve all your problems.

Apostle Paul’s Prayer: “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him”(Ephesians 1:17).

This is part of the prayer of Apostle Paul in the New Testament. He prayed for (i) Spirit of wisdom and (ii) Spirit of revelation. The Holy Spirit gives you sound mind and understanding. Through wisdom, knowledge and understanding, you will have success in life. Following is the promise of Lord Jesus for answered prayer:”Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them”( Mark 11:24).

Have faith in God. When you pray, that is when you ask from the LORD, believe in your heart and receive through your hands. Surely, God will help you. Healing, Salvation, Prosperity, Success and Family life are all the will of God. Pray according to God’s will.

2. Seeking is Prayer!:

Seeking means “ to try to find or get something”. You should seek the LORD’s help. Seek the face of God in Prayer. Then His hands will be opened. Prepare your heart to seek God. “ LORD, I will seek Your face”: this should be your prayer! Those who seek diligently will find Him. The Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost. Our Lord Jesus teaches three parables in Luke 15 about seeking the lost: (i) Parable of the lost sheep, (ii) Parable of the lost coin; (iii) Parable of the lost Son. The Good Shepherd seeks the lost sheep: the virgin lady seeks the lost coin; the loving father seeks the lost son. It/ he was lost and is found! Rejoice and be exceedingly glad.

Let me give you two important words:

“For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel: Seek Me and live”(Amos 5:4). Jesus said: “ But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you”( Matt. 6:33). Are you living or dying? Look to the crucified Jesus on the cross. You will not die, and you will live! Do not worry for food, water, clothing and Housing! You are more valuable than plants and birds. Spend your time in doing things God’s way, seek God’s Kingdom- righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. All these things shall be added to you. Things means material blessings.

3. Prayer is Knocking:

He stands at the door and is knocking! He is the Gentleman! Jesus said in Revelation 3:20: “ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me”. The LORD is standing in front of “the Church of the Laodiceans”. He is knocking the door of the church. The door is closed for many months! Every member of this church is living luxuriously in their respective Houses without caring for poor believers and Ministers of the Gospel! They are making the following confessions: (i) I am rich, (ii) I have become wealthy, (iii) I have need of nothing. These are the confession of the so called Prosperity believers (I truely believe in God’s Divine Prosperity!). True Prosperity is helping people and believers and be a blessing to others! But, actually the Laodicean believers were spiritually

poor, naked and blind! The LORD is saying to them, “ Be jealous and repent”. And then, the LORD is giving you gold, white garment and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Read Revelation 3:14-22.

BREAD, FISH & EGG

“ If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him” ( Lk. 11:11-13).

Bread is good food made from flour and baked in oven. Bread, Butter and Jam is a good morning food. Fish lives and breaths in water. An egg we eat is a source of vitamin D and mineral. Similarly, Our loving Good Father gives us the Holy Spirit! When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you receive power. You swim in life waters like a living fish! He is A Good Person. Receive Him. You life will change for the better!.

Prayer:

Loving Father God, give us the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, anoint us with the power of the Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus, come inside our life and Church, we invite You. We seek Your Kingdom and righteousness and seek You LORD! Bless, empower and sustain us. Thank You LORD. In Jesus holy Name I ask and pray.
